Are you enthusiastic about adventure, children & the outdoors? 

The Outdoors project run all year-round - after school clubs, holiday clubs, birthday parties, parent & toddler groups, & school workshops around the UK.

Activities are often based on a popular children’s themes, such as Harry Potter, Pokemon, Roald Dahl & Minecraft, and include bushcraft, Nerf, team games & challenges, campfire cooking & crafts.  Clubs are 100% outdoors!

WE ARE CURRENTLY RECRUITING:

CLUB LEADERS & ASSISTANTS

Leaders & assistants will deliver a safe & fun day of activities in line with The Outdoors Project training.

Leader roles: would suit teaching assistants and term time school staff looking for school holidays work, Students in teaching, childcare or sports coaching seeking relevant work experience

Assistant roles: do not require prior childcare qualifications or experience.   If you are 18 or above and are approachable, enthusiastic, want to be part of a fun team, passionate about working with children and have a love for the outdoors then join us!  Full training provided. 

REQUIREMENTS

  • A current DBS check or access to the update service is desirable but for the right candidate, we can apply for one on your behalf. 
  • Safeguarding & Level 3 First Aid Qualification are desirable but can be arranged if you do not yet have them. 
  • You will need to be aware of Child safeguarding processes and procedures.  Full training will be given.   
  • The ability to work well within a team, communicate, be on time and reliable is essential.  

WORK EXPERIENCE / VOLUNTEER ROLES

Are you 17+ & interested in gaining work experience. Do you want to have a positive impact in your local community, meet new people and learn new skills and put yourself at the front of the queue for future employability?

Join our Leadership & Character development programme. A very rewarding, confidence building & fun experience! You'll get a taste for how we run our outdoors children’s activity clubs, whilst building a foundation of skills to support you in the workplace. 

We ask for a commitment of 2 week during the school holidays.  You will receive training & & mentoring from an experienced lead instructor. A reference from us for future work.  There is also the possibility of future employment at The Outdoors Project.
