What's on this summer?

We have 17 different activities in store for you this summer! Our biggest summer yet. Check them out below. These are rotated on different days throughout the summer, so you'll have more than 1 chance at attending a specific activity.

As usual, each day is based on a theme, with 4 related activities & games per day. We'll be playing outside every day, away from screens! Our activities have fun at their core, and also focus on keeping active, learning new skills, & getting curious about the world around us - just how we think an exciting childhood should be!

All of the activities are below and our two locations for Lewes & Mid Sussex are:

BEAR ISLAND CASTAWAY CAMP BUILD, FIRE LIGHTING & TOASTING S’MORES The Outdoors Project - Bear Island Castaway

Join us as we’re washed ashore on a desert island far from home, known locally as Bear Island. We need to build shelters, forage for resources, & build & cook on an open fire to survive. Luckily, someone remembered to bring the s’mores! Oh yeah, watch out for the wild bears!

The Outdoors Project - Among Us‘AMONG US’ SPY CAMP

Based on a popular video game & part of our positive tech series, where all our wannabe spies & spaceship survivors hone their skills in deception, mystery & intrigue. We’ll be making Among Us squishies, testing stealth skills & repairing our stranded spaceship whilst trying to discover the imposter AMONG US!!

HARRY POTTER WIZARD WANDS, QUIDDITCH & POTIONS CLASS The Outdoors Project - Harry Potter

Drawing inspiration from the Harry Potter book series, a firm favourite for all you Potter fans - have fun whittling your very own woodland wand, brew potions in potion class & play the game of Quidditch! How will you defend against the dark arts of our dementor?

The Outdoors Project - Circus SkillsCIRCUS SKILLS, GIANT BUBBLE WANDS & PAINT GUN MURAL

Build & make your own giant bubble wands & join us for a day at the circus, including diablo, poi, plate spinning, hula hooping, & flower sticks skills! Plus we’ll be embarking on a massive paint mural project together, using the medium of paint filled water blasters to express ourselves

WILD CRAFT VS MINECRAFT The Outdoors Project - Wild Craft vs Minecraft

Join us in a Minecraft survivor challenge outdoors among the real elements. Collect your elements, use our crafting table to build & maintain your village & tools, earn reward pixels, & protect your land & villagers. Watch out for the Creeper!

Grab your blasters, mount up & let’s step back in time. Stagecoach stand-ups, bank robbery heists & cattle corals, all in a Wild West day of action-packed Nerf battles

NERFAGEDDON: NERF & ADVENTURE GAMES The Outdoors Project - Nerfageddon

An action-packed day of high-energy, tactical, base-invasion Nerf & adventure games: Zombie Apocalypse, VIP, & Capture The Flag. We’ll provide the blasters & fun, you provide the kids!

The Outdoors Project - Charlie & The Chocolate FactoryCHARLIE & THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY

Can you find the golden ticket? Search high & low for the chance to visit Willy Wonka’s chocolate factory. A day of crazy imagination, storytelling, chocolate, sweets & helping build a the chocolate factory of your dreams. Be the team to build the tallest mini marshmallow tower & create edible jewellery to take home

ZELDA ‘TEARS OF THE KINGDOM’ The Outdoors Project - Zelda

Join our hero, Link, in this epic adventure based on the computer game, Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Link’s on a quest to save Princess Zelda in our all new day of elves, forest creatures, adventures & crafting mystical tools & spells

The Outdoors Project - Super Stick CompetitionANNUAL WORLD SUPER STICK CHAMPIONSHIPS

In celebration of the humble stick, we’ll be enjoying a variety of woodland games & skills, including whittling, Viking Kubb, a giant tug of war, & capture & evade games. We’ll also be hosting our hugely anticipated World Super Stick Championship competition, with the chance to take away a prize trophy!

GANGSTA GRANNY The Outdoors Project - Gangsta Granny

A day based around the great story & characters from this David Walliams favourite. Create your very own crown jewels in our workshop, then join Granny & Ben as they attempt to steal the crown jewels, in the ultimate heist game!

The Outdoors Project - Desert Survival ChallengeDESERT SURVIVAL CHALLENGE, WATER FILTRATION & SOLAR FIRE LIGHTING

Hone your crucial survival skills for the desert environment. Join us in a bushcraft experience & master water filtration, water dowsing, & solar fire lighting, then run the survival dash challenge - are you Bear Grylls or bear food?

WATER DAY: BOTTLE ROCKETS, WATER BATTLES & GAMES The Outdoors Project - Water Day

Our most popular day every summer! Crafting bottle rockets, playing Nerf mega water battles & water game challenges - a wet & wild day in the sunshine

The Outdoors Project - Pokemon DayPOKÉMON: POKÉ BALLS, POKÉMON RUN & STACK ATTACK

A positive tech-use day of craft meets nature & team-based challenges. Create realistic Poké balls to take home, role play your favourite trainer or Pokémon in our Pokémon Run (dodgeball-style) game, use nature to build Pokémon creations, & play our Pokémon Stack Attack game - “Gotta catch ‘em all!”

SUMMER CAMPFIRE COOKOUT The Outdoors Project - Summer Campfire Cookout

Join us around the campfire for bushcraft whittling a toasting fork, cooking delicious snacks of cinnamon rolls & marshmallow fluff biscotti bombs, plus plenty of adventure & games to burn off the sugar

The Outdoors Project - Nature Ninjas Learning From The Natural WorldNATURE NINJAS: LEARNING FROM THE NATURAL WORLD

Discover the wonders of nature as children engage in guerrilla gardening with seed bombs, create vibrant Hapa-Zome art, explore natural dye making & embark on bug hunts - cultivating creativity, knowledge & environmental stewardship in an exciting outdoor setting

ROBIN HOOD DAY The Outdoors Project - Robin Hood

Join Robin & his Merry Men on a brave adventure. Craft personalised bows & mini shields, take part in medieval games & join the stagecoach robbery - ‘robbing from the rich & giving to the poor!’

Check out when & where these activities are & book by choosing your location.

Who can attend? Primary school aged kids (so age 5/6 to age 11/12). They must have started in Year 1 already. Year 7/8s (age 12+) are welcome if they are happy to be there with a lots of 8 year olds!

When is it: 9am - 3pm weekdays throughout the school summer holidays. Book for a day or for weeks at a time! Our flexible booking means you can book in advance & change the dates up to a week before the date.

What to bring: Dress for being outside for the day, & bring a snack & packed lunch (no nuts please!)

We are Ofsted registered. Childcare vouchers accepted. All staff are DBS checked, trained, insured, engaging & full of beans!
