Workshops
Like everything we do at The Outdoors Project our school workshops are delivered with a fun 'have a go' approach. Curriculum-Based sessions: Explore topics like history, science, and nature through interactive sessions. We work closely with schools to create sessions that align with the curriculum objectives and to create sessions\days that suit pupils of all ages, abilities and interests.

Why Outdoor Learning Matters
With children spending more time indoors than ever, outdoor learning offers a breath of fresh air—literally and figuratively. It sparks exploration, critical thinking, and teamwork while promoting physical health and mental well-being.
Aligned seamlessly with the school curriculum, our workshops support subjects like history, science, and physical education, turning traditional lessons into engaging, real-world experiences.
Outdoor learning fosters deeper understanding, improves knowledge retention, and equips children with skills they’ll carry for life. Each session is an adventure that bridges the classroom and the natural world, making education come alive. Beyond the educational value, our workshops create memories that your students will remember for years to come. The awe-inspiring moments, laughter and a sense of wonder fostered during our sessions will leave an enduring impression on their educational journey.
Workshop Highlights
- Curriculum-Based Themes: Explore topics like history, science, and nature through interactive sessions.
- Teamwork & Leadership: Fun challenges that encourage collaboration and communication.
- Skills for Life: Practical activities like fire lighting, tool use, and crafting build confidence and independence.
- Accessible & Adaptable: We bring the workshops to your school, using your grounds or nearby green spaces. We know that away days to theme parks are fun, but we think we can create a full day of as much fun in any green outdoors space without the bus trip! Our workshops can be anything from a 1hr session to multiple days for the whole school. We work hard to collaboratively arrive at a package to suit your budget.
What We See
Children 'having a go', team work, improved language, decision making, communication, space for ideas and imagination, problem solving, growth in confidence, resilience and greater concentration. Lots of laughter and memories being made!
