OCTOBER HALF TERM

Hello folks!

October half term is personally one of our favourite times of the year. The weather is at a sweet spot, nature looks incredible, & the best of our props come out as we explore the spookier side of life with Halloween-inspired games, tricks & treats!

If your little terrors are in need of some engaging & immersive activities (not involving screens), some excitement, running around, reaping the benefits of being out in nature (during the golden hour of outdoor play), see if any of our October Half Term activities take your fancy:

TRICK OR TREAT DAY

We’ll be making gooey nose slime, creating gruesome tasty treats & going on a zombie scavenger hunt. Some silly zombies are falling apart & need our help! What’s their story? You decide! Loads of hair-raising fun!

CAMPFIRE CRAFTS & PUMPKIN CATAPULTS

A day of crafting & gentle autumnal fun. We’ll be creating scary fiends from nature & launching them into space with our huge catapult! We’ll gather around the campfire for the American tradition of toasting pumpkin seeds with a range of sweet/savoury/spicy toppings. And as usual, running around, playing games, discovering things & being silly!

CIRCUS SKILLS & SPOOKY FUN

Taking influence from the Day of the Dead festival in South America, we’re having an autumnal carnival - making & toasting churros over the campfire, practicing circus skills, creating nature-based sugar skulls, & challenging ourselves in a range of spooky games like Ghost in the Graveyard & Blind Man’s Bluff

NERF: FORAGE, LOCK & LOAD!

Leaves are falling fast! The swamp monster is lurking… It’s up to the kids to save us all! Forage for battle resources, get to grips with our Nerf blasters, & show the baddies who’s boss, in a range of team-based Nerf games. (Age 6+ recommended)

HARRY POTTER QUIDDITCH, WAND MAKING & POTIONS

Witches & wizards, welcome to the autumn term at Hogwarts! Who will win this year’s Quidditch house cup? Join our most magical themed day - brew potions in Potions Class, whittle & enchant a wand, & play in our Quidditch tournament

INSET DAYS

Half term falls between 2 Inset Days, which most schools are closed for across the country, so your kids may be off for a good while - check your school calendar! Since so many schools are off, we expect these will sell out quickly so you'll need book sooner rather than later if you want to guarantee a space! They will be running in the same way of a usual holiday club, which is...

Holiday clubs & inset days:

- 9am to 3pm

- Everyone's invited no matter which school they go to

- Ages 5-11

- You can book just one day, or a few!
