Half Term Fun! Pictures & Videos

Lots of Harry Potter fun, ran by our resident wizard, Justin! Here you see Lancing Prep Hove in it's real autumnal glory, slightly soggy ground, spirits were not dampened one bit though!

Here we are mid-way through a zombie scavenger hunt! The kids have fun trying to find various clothes, accessories & body parts from a poor zombie who's fallen apart! They have the challenge of trying to reassemble them, and come up with a backstory of who they are & what on earth happened to them! A nice creative activity for the kids, and it gives them the opportunity to present their silly creative stories to the group.

Some nature-based arts & crafts. Here we have a scary fiend in the making (not the child, the pine cone spider!..). Shortly after this picture was taken, we launched the scary fiend into outer space with our huge catapult!! This is part of our 'Campfire Crafts & Pumpkin Catapults' day. The next pictures we have some crafts as part of the Circus Skills & Spooky Fun Day. It's a Day of The Dead-inspired day (the South American festival), and here we are part-way through creating sugar skulls.

Some impromptu den-making! We don't actually have den-making on the agenda this half term (shock-horror! They're fundamental to The Outdoors Project!!), but we did do some yesterday at Hove Secret Garden at St Christopher's Prep Sports Fields - the day was Trick Or Treat Day. We love this location, such a wonderful little outdoor oasis!

Perfect sunny weather for our Circus Skills & Spooky Fun day at Lancing Prep Hove last week for the early school break-up week.

Messy play! Here we're making some nose slime (aka Oobleck from the Dr. Seuss book). The kids have fun creating this from scratch, and playing with their creation - it's a non-newtonian fluid, meaning that it doesn't follow the properties of a normal solid or liquid, and it incredibly entertaining to play with! Combining Oobleck with green food colouring turns this activity into a lovely gooey nose slime, perfect for Halloween fun...

Nerf! Where The Outdoors Project all began. Tactical fun & games, at the expense of the instructor in the Swamp Monster outfit!
