Join our mission as an outdoors instructor and work to make a positive difference to young people's weekly lives and wellbeing.
The Outdoors Project runs year round After School Clubs and Holiday Clubs in Brighton & Hove for children age 5-12. Our mission is to encourage kids to spend quality time outdoors and gain all the benefits from doing so! Fresh air, exercise, developing friendships, learning about nature, engaging in “wild time”, exploring creativity & imagination, learning new skills and above all having fun!!
We are looking for fun, inspirational and reliable people to work with us up to 5 days a week at After School Clubs (2.30-4.30 Monday to Friday) around Brighton and Hove.
You don't need to be available every day but need to be able to commit to at least 3 regular days a week. There is also the opportunity for work at our School Holiday Clubs (9am - 3.30pm), school workshop & weekend birthday parties & event work.
Instructors will provide a safe and fun environment at our After School Clubs and run a range of activities including Bush Craft, Survival Skills, Team Games, Nature Craft and much more outdoor adventure fun.
Experience in the childcare or outdoors adventure industry is beneficial but not a requirement. We will invest in your training if you can demonstrate the right attributes for working with children.
Full training and Uniform provided.
Requirements:
All applicants are required to have a valid fully enhanced DBS check, which we can help you obtain. You must have the right to work within the UK and if successful can provide the relevant documentation.
Safeguarding & Level 3 First Aid Qualification are desirable but can be arranged if you do not yet have them. A Driving License and Forest School Level 3 is also desirable.
Pay: £8.50 - £13 per hour depending on experience.
