1 Rule: Find the fish....
.......(it's definitely not now back in our office!).
At The Outdoors Project, we love activities that inspire curiosity and exploration, and this one is perfect for a mini-adventure at home or in your backyard. The game is simple: hide an object (like a toy fish) and challenge your kids to find it with a series of clue photos. It’s not only fun but a great way to spark their observation skills and encourage outdoor play.
How to play:
Choose your object:
Pick a small toy or item to hide - something colourful like a toy fish works well.
Take close-up photos:
Snap a very close-up picture of the hidden object to show your kids as the first clue.
Take more photos:
Capture three more photos from progressively further distances, making it a bit easier to spot in each one.
Show clues gradually:
Show the first picture and give your kids some time to look for the object. If they need more help, show the second picture after a few minutes, then the third and fourth until they find it.
Enjoy the adventure!:
Watch as your kids eagerly search and explore. You might be surprised at what other little discoveries they make along the way!
This game is a fun, screen-free way to engage your kids and make memories together. Plus, it’s easy to set up and can be done anywhere with your choice of hidden items.
Try it out, and don’t forget to share your experience with us! We love seeing the little adventurers at work.
